String theory and the real world

چکیده
Figure 1. A world of hidden, small dimensions. String theories are formulated in a world of 10 or 11 spacetime dimensions. According to those theories, a point in what appears to be four-dimensional spacetime is actually a tiny multidimensional space of its own. The purple blowup hints at the complexity of those minuscule spaces; it is a projection onto three dimensions of a 6D space called a Calabi–Yau space after mathematicians Eugenio Calabi and Shing-Tung Yau. DEVELOPMENT IN STRING THEORY
The string theory is a fast moving subject, both physics wise and in the respect of mathematics. In order to keep up with the discipline it is important to move with new ideas which are being stressed. Here I wish to give extracts from new papers of ideas which I have recently found interesting. There are six papers which are involved: I ."Strings formulated directly in 4 dimensions " A. N...
متن کاملCharacteristics of Social Networks in the Theory and the Real World
The development of information and communication technology as one of the most prominent components of the expansion of social networks has revolutionized the quantity, quality, and speed of information flow unprecedentedly. One of the important consequences of the discourse of globalization of communication is the expansion of virtual participatory politics, the politicization of ethnic, racia...
متن کاملBulk viscous string cosmological models in Saez – Ballester theory of gravitation
Spatially homogeneous Bianchi type-II, VIII and IX anisotropic, as well as isotropic cosmological models can be obtained in a scalar tensor theory of gravitation proposed by Saez and Ballester (1986) when the source for energy momentum tensor is a bulk viscous fluid containing one-dimensional cosmic strings. All the models obtained and presented here are expanding, non-rotating and accelerating...
متن کاملStrange quark matter attached to string cloud in general scalar tensor theory of gravitation
Bianchi type-VI0 space time with strange quark matter attached to string cloud in Nordtvedt [1] general scalar tensor theory of gravitation with the help of a special case proposed by Schwinger [2] is obtained. The field equations have been solved by using the anisotropy feature of the universe in the Bianchi type-VI0 space time. Some important features of the model, thus obtained, have been di...

We study the Casimir effect for a Bosonic string extended between D-branes, and living in a flat space with an antisymmetric background B-field. We find the Casimir energy as a function of the B-field, and the mass-parameter of the string, and accordingly we obtain a B-dependence correction term to the ground-state mass of the string. We show that for sufficiently large B-field, the ground stat...
متن کاملString Model Building in the Age of D-Branes
Recent developments in string theory have radically altered our view of what superstrings are and what properties or symmetries are fundamental in the nonperturbative regime. The heterotic, Type I, Type IIA, and Type IIB superstrings now appear to be different weak coupling limits of the same underlying nonperturbative theory. Furthermore there is strong evidence that this theory has at least o...
